New gold standard

doTERRA has set a new global standard called CPTG. This is a testing protocol that ensures every essential oil maintains the same high quality from bottle to bottle.

CPTG stands for Certified Pure Tested Grade® protocol and is considered the gold standard in the world of essential oils, similar to how the health supplement industry uses the GMP standard to ensure products are consistently produced and controlled according to defined quality standards.

doTERRA partners with the Aromatic Plant Research Center (APRC) to rigorously test and document their essential oils through strict protocols. APRC is an independent laboratory with no ties to doTERRA, specializing in detecting counterfeit and adulterated essential oils.

Before the oils are sent to APRC for testing, doTERRA’s own world-class, high-tech laboratory, staffed with renowned experts in the field, conducts thorough tests. Each oil is tested over 50 times throughout the production process before it reaches the consumer.

While other producers provide no test results or rely on documentation from biased laboratories, doTERRA makes all their test results publicly available. You can easily look up the test results by using the quality code stamped on each bottle.
